Basic

Ingredients

Matt’s Ultimate Tuna Pasta

Shopped for: Enough for 2 people

Large can of Solid white Albacore

Bag of Penne Pasta

Can of Cream of Mushroom soup

Onion

Bread & Butter pickles

Lemon

Total cost - $ 10



PASTA:

In a Pot bring enough water to fill pot ¾ of the way to a boil. Put in bag of Penne pasta Oh and make sure you put a few drops of canola oil & sprinkle some salt before you drop in the pasta (to make sure it doesn’t stick.) Boil for 8-10 mins or to when Pasta is done, (Check by taking out a piece wash under cold water and sample) Drain pasta.


TUNA:

In big mixing bowl, drop in large can of Tuna fish. Put in enough Mayo to make you happy, dice up half a small onion and drop in bowl. Slice up some pickles into small pieces and into the bowl along with half a cup or more of Italian breadcrumbs. Squeeze half a lemon or more into bowl and get to mix all that stuff up GOOD!


CAN OF MUSHROOM SOUP:

Heat a small can of cream of Mushroom soup in another pot.


Throw pasta in mixing bowl then cover everything with cream of Mushroom soup. Then MIX it all up and Devour!! (Makes great left over’s after sitting in fridge for a day)

Chicken Teriyaki with Lo Mein Noodles

Shopped for: Enough for 2 people

Package of Chicken Thighs

Fresh Broccoli

Box of Lo Mein noodles

Red bell Pepper

Onion

Total Cost $ 10


Broccoli:

Chop up fresh Broccoli and put it in a pot of hot water. Let them sit in water for 3 mines (this is called Blanching) Makes the broccoli softer for cooking.


Noodles:

Once you remove broccoli from water drop in box of Lo Mein noodles in same water and let boil for 3 mins or until done. Strain noodles.


Chicken:

In Saucepan heat canola oil on med until nice and hot. After Slicing Red Bell pepper and onion, throw the vegies into hot pan and let sizzle for a minute before throwing in sliced chicken breasts and let all cook together on med heat.


Teriyaki Sauce:

In a small bowl mix in:

Half cup of Soy sauce

Tablespoon of sugar

1/4 cup of white vinegar

¼ cup of ketchup

Garlic powder

½ lemon squeezed

Mix and taste – adjust according to taste.


Once the chicken is nice and cooked on both sides (4-5 mins each side over med heat) throw in noodles and then home made Teriyaki sauce.

Let sauce mix with everything and stir a few times.

Remove from heat, Plate and Savor the Flavor!

Talapia Fillets

Shopped for – Enough for 2 people

Three Fresh Tilapia fillets

¼ lb of string beans

Lemon

Total cost $ 10


String Beans:

Blanch String beans in hot water for 3-4 mins. Drop in a bowl of almost boiling water (Softens String beans for sautéing)


Pre heat oven on 375 degrees for 15 mins prior to cooking


Talapia Fillets

After rinsing Fish, Salt & Pepper lightly.

In mixing bowl crack an egg.

Then fill a plate with Italian breadcrumbs.

Put each fillet into egg let egg run off then cover in breadcrumbs. Once the fillets are ready, place in saucepan that’s been heated with canola oil over med heat until hot.  Drop in Fillets and let cook until breadcrumbs are golden brown about 2-3 mins on each side. Sprinkle Garlic powder.


Take out of pan and place on tin foil. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over fillets then place in pre-heated oven to finish cooking for say another 5 mins.


While Fish is cooking in oven take string beans and in sauce pan coated with canola oil, throw in string beans and shake around the pan as they sizzle/cook. Sprinkle in salt and garlic powder or Fresh garlic minced up. Drizzle in some soy sauce and remove after another minute.


Take out fish from oven and plate it.  Drizzle Thousand Island dressing on Fish. Put finished string beans on plate and sprinkle again with lemon and MUNCH!!

Shrimp Tacos

Shopped for – Enough for 2 people

Bag of Frozen Shrimp

Corn tortillas

2 tomatillos

1 lime

Fresh cilantro

Onion

Dried California Chilies

Avocado

1 red tomato

Iceberg lettuce

Total cost  $10


Brine the Shrimp by letting sit in a big mixing bowl in COLD water for about an hour prior to cooking. Throw in about ¼ cup of sugar and salt in the bowl w/ shrimp. (Removes any possible bacteria & softens Shrimp for ultimate flavor)


Home made marinade: Ina Blender throws in –

3 Tomatillos (Green Tomato)

5 dried red chili pods

2 Limes cut

¼ cup of chopped Cilantro

¼ cup of water

½ cup of Canola oil


Blend up for half a minute.


Shrimp:

Drain Shrimp from water and rinse.

In Saucepan: Heat canola oil and once hot:

Drop in shrimp and let cook for only 1 minute before throwing in Marinade.

Let cook on med heat for another 3 mins, before taking off heat.


Tortillas can be placed in a pre-heated oven on 375 for about 3 mins.

Take out of oven:


Garnish:

Chop up some red tomato

Avocado

And Iceberg lettuce


Put garnish in folded tortilla and place in 3-4 Shrimp per Taco.

Then Close your eyes and let the Flavors take you AWAY!!

Kraft Mac n Cheese with MEAT

Shopped for  - Enough for 2 people

2 Boxes of Kraft Mac n Cheese

Package of 5 Italian sausage links

1 lb of ground beef

Onion

Red Hot Chili pepper

Jar of marinara sauce

Total cost $ 10


Meat:

First – Heat up enough canola oil to cover bottom of saucepan and throw in sliced onion and Chili pepper. Let cook for 2 minutes then take out onion and pepper and put them on paper towel.


Put sausage links in pan and on med/high heat sizzle the hell out of em and after 2mins cover and cook them another 3 mins. Remove the Sausage from the pan and slice into smaller pieces.


NOW throw ground beef into pan and brown over med heat. Salt & pepper & Garlic powder to taste. Throw back in your onions and chilies after 2 mines. Throw in sausage pieces and let them all cook together and THEN open jar of marinara sauce and throw that in enough to coat the meat.


Kraft Mac n Cheese:

In another pot boil water and throw in pasta from both boxes and let cook for time recommended. Once Pasta is finished, drain and throw in mixing bowl. Mix in your dried cheese, butter, and milk and MIX MIX MIX. When Cheese sauce is all nice and mixed, throw in your MEAT and mix that up in the bowl.


THEN your ready to experience a MAC n CHEESE that’s on another LEVEL of GREATNESS!!!

STEAK BURRITOS

Shopped for – Enough for 2 people

¾ lb lb of Flank Steak

Onion

Jalapeno pepper

Bag of large flour Tortillas

White rice

Brick of Jack Cheese

Lime

Total cost $ 10


Rice + left over black Beans

In a pot heat some canola oil and when hot drop in cup of white rice. Once it’s sizzling for a minute, pour 2 cups of water (double the amount of rice) in pot. It should make a LOUD sizzling noise…that’s good!  Let come to a boil, then cover and simmer for 6-8 minutes.


Steak:

HEAT saucepan with canola oil.

Salt & Pepper your beef to feeling/taste.

Slice Jalapeno into thin slices.

CHOP your onion.

Throw Onion & Jalapeno into hot pan.

After 1 minute throw in sliced beef.

Sear the beef well and flip slices to cook all sides.

Worcestershire sauce to flavor. Sprinkle in fresh cut lime & some Franks Red Hot Sauce.

Slice your jack cheese into and throw into pan with beef, cover and let melt.


Tortilla:

Drizzle Thousand Island dressing on inside of burrito. Take your meat out of pan and fill inside of burrito ¼ with meat. Then add some of your white rice + left over black beans. Fold tortilla and Take a BIG BITE!!!
